I’m Grateful For You And…
Welcome back, I'm happy you're here.
I'm keeping it light this week.
While I have so much to say and share, I'm also a bit tongue tied or is it writer's bock?
There have been some mornings where I'll sit down and the email basically writes itself, and then there are days (weeks) like this, where I either don't know where to begin, or how to share, or I jump from topic to topic, or I give too much backstory or… (and the list goes on.)
I spent most of my life forcing situations and outcomes.
I needed to feel like I could control everything.
When I am trying to control, I leave no room for happy accidents.
I leave no room for life to write itself.
On that note…
I give up trying to write/not write to you this week.
Studies show that if you express gratitude, it raises your happiness by 25%.
I have a daily gratitude practice.
It grounds me.
When you think about what you're grateful for, try to be specific.
-Swap out “I'm grateful for my health” for “I'm grateful for my 4 mile walk at the beach on Sunday.”
-Swap out “I'm grateful for my job” for “I'm grateful for my client and her dedication to setting and maintaining new boundaries.”
Five things I'm grateful for (in this moment):
I'm grateful for the cozy Costco blanket (IYKYK) wrapped around me.
I'm grateful for weighted blankets.
I'm grateful I had a Drs appointment scheduled exactly when I needed it.
I'm grateful for all the family members I'll be seeing this week and that we have our Thanksgiving tradition so dialed in.
I'm grateful for the colors of a winter sunset! (See below)
Last and definitely not least, I'm grateful for you!
My invitation for you:
What are you grateful for and why?
What do you have today, that you were wishing for a year ago?
Happy Thanksgiving Week!
The holidays can be hard for some people.
You can schedule a time to connect with me here.
It's a friendly conversation or you can vent about x,y and z.
Thanks for reading! I look forward to seeing you next time.
With so much gratitude,
Extra gratitude for making it this far!
